John Pirone, Managing Director, Blackrock
John Pirone, CFA, is a member of the BlackRock Multi-Asset Client Solutions (BMACS) group, which is responsible for developing, assembling and managing investment solutions involving multiple strategies and asset classes. Within BMACS, he is part of the Client Strategy team where he is primarily responsible for advising and educating institutional investors on strategic asset allocation and manager structure. Mr. Pirone's service with the firm dates back to 1997, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. At BGI, he was a senior client advisory strategist, advising on total portfolio investment strategy issues. Previously, he was a fixed income analyst with Gifford Fong Associates. Mr. Pirone is co-author of "Optimizing Manager Structure and Budgeting Manager Risk" which received the Journal of Portfolio Management's Bernstein Fabozzi/Jacobs Levy award in 2000. Mr. Pirone earned a BA degree in biochemistry from Washington University at St. Louis in 1987, a MA in economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1992 and an MA degree in finance from the London Business School in 1996. |

Benjamin Ruegsegger, CFA, VP Portfolio Manager, AllianceBernstein
Benjamin Ruegsegger, VP, is a portfolio manager and an analyst supporting AllianceBernstein’s Thematic Research services. He joined the firm in 2001 as an investment administrator in the managed accounts division. In 2003, Ruegsegger became a portfolio manager assistant for the US Thematic Research product, and in 2004, he was named portfolio manager for US Thematic Research municipal-bond portfolios. He served on the US Mid Cap Growth team from 2006 to 2008 as a research analyst focused on the financials and consumer discretionary sectors. Ruegsegger holds a BA in economics/finance from Eastern University and is a CFA charterholder. John Ventre, Portfolio Manager, Skandia Multi Asset investing
John has more than 11 years of industry experience, having previously worked as an exchange-traded derivatives broker with ADM Investor Services International, trading commodities and equity volatility, and latterly as a partner in a start-up private client investment management and brokerage firm on the Isle of Man. John was previously associated with Alternative Investment Strategies Limited, the first closed-ended fund of hedge funds listed in London, as well as teaching the Derivatives module on the Isle of Man for Liverpool Business School. He holds a BA (Hons) in Law from Peterhouse, Cambridge and an MA (Cantab). John has joint responsibility for portfolio management and asset allocation decisions on our MultiManager funds. |

Marco Ruiz, Director de Reservas Internacionales, Banco de la República de Colombia
El Sr. Ruiz es responsable de la inversión y análisis de riesgo de los portafolios de reservas internacionales y del Fondo de Estabilización Petrolera de Colombia. Con anterioridad, el Sr. Ruiz trabajó en el equipo de manejo de portafolios del Departamento de Reservas Internacionales, inicialmente como Administrador de Portafolios y posteriormente como Subdirector de Mercados. También se ha desempeñado como catedrático de finanzas internacionales en la Universidad del Rosario en Bogotá. Es economista de la Universidad de los Andes y tiene un MBA de New York University. También es merecedor de la designación Chartered Financial Analyst. |
